Yuta Yamamoto of GMO VenturePartners has begun writing a six-part series for “FinTech+,” a column in the weekly magazine Financial Affairs (Shukan Kinyu Zaisei Jijo), published by the Kinzai Institute for Financial Affairs, Inc. The first installment, No. 115, appeared in the July 14, 2026 issue. With the magazine’s permission, the full article is also republished on our column page (available in Japanese only).
The first installment, titled “AI-Powered Debt Collection Supporting India’s Growing Consumer Lending Market,” features DPDzero, an India-based fintech company. It introduces how the company is redesigning debt collection by combining AI, data, and human agents. DPDzero is a portfolio company of GMO VenturePartners.
Drawing on his experience in overseas investment, Yamamoto will share the latest fintech developments from the field across all six installments. We hope you enjoy the series.
