We made new investment in DPDzero.

GMO VenturePartners participated as the lead investor in the Series A funding round of DPDzero, a FinTech startup based in India. The round raised a total of 7 million USD and included prominent investors such as SMBC Asia Rising Fund, Blume Ventures (which increased its investment from the previous round), India Quotient, and Sinarmas Group.

The funds will be used to develop a multilingual AI-powered collections agent and to build a professional field collections network. Through these initiatives, DPDzero aims to provide highly efficient and ethical debt collection infrastructure for financial institutions across India, enabling more respectful and reliable services for borrowers.

Ryu Muramatsu, Founding Partner of GMO VenturePartners, commented:
“Over the past decade, GMO VenturePartners has been deeply committed to India’s fintech ecosystem. As the credit landscape matures, collections remain its most under-served frontier. We believe DPDzero is building the foundational collections infrastructure by combining AI, execution-first DNA, and the kind of founder obsession required to disrupt the category. We’re proud to back Ananth and Ranjith as they reimagine collections for India. ”

GMO VenturePartners will continue to support the tech-driven evolution of financial infrastructure in India in partnership with DPDzero.
